The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has put into circulation a redesigned 100-manat banknote featuring the latest security elements as of today, APA-Economics reports, citing the CBA.
The updated 100-manat banknote incorporates the latest security features, including a color-shifting hologram with a three-dimensional micro-mirror effect, the innovative Spark Flow Prime element (a color-changing manat symbol with a dynamic light effect), a watermark (displaying the State Emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the denomination when held up to the light), tactile recognition marks for visually impaired persons (raised lines on both the left and right edges of the front side that enable users to identify the banknote's authenticity and denomination by touch), a vertical reverse-side design (reflecting the latest global trend in banknote production), a security thread, intaglio printing, microtext, and other advanced security features.
The redesigned 100-manat banknote bears the signature of the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov. The signature is located in the upper left corner of the front side.
The new 100-manat banknote will circulate in parallel with the existing banknote of the same denomination and may be used as legal tender without any restrictions.
Images of the front and reverse sides of the redesigned banknote have also been released.
