According to him, over the past 20 years relations between the two countries had made significant progress. These relationships are further expanded and adopted a strategic cooperation.
"The United States in its relations with Azerbaijan denote the three priority areas: energy, security and political reforms. For Azerbaijan, the priority is to support the U.S. territorial integrity of Azerbaijan’s independence, peace and development in the region", - he said.
Pashayev noted that as the first Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States, he believed Washington impartial and unbiased mediator in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
The deputy minister stressed that Azerbaijan and the United States have similar values such as tolerance, peace and freedom. “Combining our efforts will achieve great successesâ€, - he said.
