APA reports that several issues, including Azerbaijan-Russia relations were discussed at the meeting. Asadov said that Azerbaijan-Russia relations had deep roots and new relations started on April 2 1992 – 20 years ago.
Speaker noted that more than 500 Russian companies are operating in Azerbaijan and this is an example of high-level relations. He said more than 150 documents were signed between the two countries up to now.
Lavrov said that Russia was always interested in the development of relations with Azerbaijan: “We have close relations with Azerbaijan and it will continue afterwardsâ€.
Minister noted that Russia was interested in peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and it would increase its efforts toward this.
