Elmar Mammadyarov meets with European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Å tefan FÃ¼le

APA reports that development of Azerbaijan-EU relations, regional issues, settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and EU proposals for confidence-building between Azerbaijan and Armenia to support the settlement process were discussed at the meeting.

FÃ¼le said that he observed progress in some spheres after his last visit to Azerbaijan. He underlined that the 2nd ordinary session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly was organized in Baku at high level. He underlined the existence of large potential for the development of Azerbaijan-EU relations within Eastern Partnership program. Commissioner said that Eurovision Song Contest will draw worldâ€™s attention to Azerbaijan. FÃ¼le and Mammadyarov discussed EUâ€™s concern described in its recent statements on Azerbaijan.

FÃ¼le mentioned the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and said that he was still remembering his visit two years ago to IDP camp in Azerbaijan: â€œWe must settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€.
