- What are the perspectives of the development of Azerbaijani-Indonesian bilateral relationships and in what spheres in particular?

- For the moment, Azerbaijan and Indonesia have excellent relationships, now it is important for Azerbaijan and Indonesia to enhance our bilateral economical relations. We have to translate our good political relations into economical, social and political relations.

- Indonesia is oil rich country, how do you see Azerbaijani-Indonesian energy cooperation?

- Yes, Indonesia is an oil producer, but our resources are limited. Sooner or later the resources exhaust, that’s why we work on the development of alternative energy sources. We would like to extend cooperation with Azerbaijan towards it. We can also extend the technology cooperation. Both countries have an experience in the production and processing of energy resources.

- Is the consular section planned to be opened under the Embassy?

- The consular office will be opened soon within one or two months, we only have some technical problems. However, we shall issue visas to Indonesia here.

- What is the official position of Indonesia on Nagorno Karabakh conflict?

- We are with Azerbaijan. We support the concept of territorial integrity. Our position is very clear. We want to see the settlement of the problem by peaceful way. It could be resolved only by negotiations because Azerbaijan and Armenia are neighbors.

- To what extent Azerbaijan is known in Indonesia?

- Azerbaijan is not widely known among Indonesians, but Azerbaijani Embassy in Indonesia is very active to promote Azerbaijan in Indonesia. Indonesia is also working to promote itself in Azerbaijan, this year for the first time Indonesia will participate in Travel and Tourism Fair Exhibition on April 12-14. The guests from Indonesia will participate in the exhibition.

- What our countries could learn from each other?

- Azerbaijan has large experience in sphere of energy, Indonesia is also experienced in this field probably; we can exchange our experience in this field. We can also intensify cultural and educational exchange. Annually we send one or two students to Indonesia to enhance their knowledge in Indonesian art and culture and we also offer master programs.

– What joint projects are expected to be realized?

– At the moment we continue working on education and culture programs, we also would like to establish direct trade contacts that would expand our opportunities. I am searching ways to organize it.
