Chairman of Kazakhstanâ€™s Parliament receives TurkPA Secretary General

Chairperson-in-Office of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA), Chairman of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin received TurkPA Secretary General Ramil Hasanov n the framework of the meeting devoted to the Twentieth Anniversary of the Council of Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States on 26 March, 2012 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, TurkPA press service told APA. Expressing his gratitude for sincere reception Ramil Hasanov gave brief information about activities of TurkPA, projects carried out in the field of international cooperation, meetings of permanent commissions and decisions adopted by them, preparation process for the III Plenary Session of TurkPA which is expected to be held in Bishkek and planned projects.

Secretary General noted that the main objectives of TurkPA are to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation among its members by means of parliamentary diplomacy, strengthening security, peace and democracy in the regional and global level, support comprehensive cooperation with all the international organizations on the basis of mutual respect and stressed that activities of the organization in this direction continues.

At the same time TurkPA Secretary General expressed his deepest gratitude to the main initiator of TurkPAâ€™s establishment Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and also to the guidance of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan for support to the TurkPA activities.

Nurlan Nigmatulin highly estimated Secretariatâ€™s activities and noted that they attach particular importance to the activities of TurkPA and this organization play a role of bridge among Turkic speaking states in various fields. At the same time he stressed that Parliament of Kazakhstan will continue its comprehensive support to the activities of the organization and Secretariat aiming at strengthening the work of the organization and enhancing international relations both in the period of his chairmanship and in the future.
