He said that the employees of Azerbaijani embassy in Syria communicated with the Azerbaijani citizens registered in the embassy’s consular service and learned that nobody was wounded during the incident: “Our embassy keeps in touch with our citizens (most of them are students) in Syria. The regular meetings are held with our citizens and necessary recommendations on security are given to them by our diplomatsâ€.
Abdullayev said that the embassy in Syria worked in the usual regime. Asked about whether our embassy tightened security, the diplomat said that this issue was in the highlight.
The diplomatic missions of several countries in Syria stopped its activity. Turkish embassy officially stopped its activity on March 22.
