Noting wide existing relations between the two countries, President Aliyev expressed confidence that the current visit of the Germany’s foreign minister would boost strengthening of partnership between the states even more.
Foreign minister of the Germany Guido Westerwelle informed about the meetings he held in the country, stressing the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
He also underlined the importance of Azerbaijan’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and future cooperation in this frame.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, energy cooperation and other questions were also focused on in the meeting.
