APA reports that the official reception on the 20th anniversary of membership of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan to the UN was held at The Pierre Hotel in New York. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also participated in the reception. He congratulated the countries, thanked for their contributions to the UN and wished successes.
Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were accepted to the organization during the 46th Session of the UN General Assembly in 1992.
