Azerbaijani President receives French culture and communication minister

Baku â€“ APA. On March 9, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received French delegation led by Minister of Culture and Communication FrÃ©dÃ©ric Mitterrand.

APA reports that the Head of State underlined the successful development of the relations between Azerbaijan and France in various spheres, including culture. President, reminding about the numerous events in the sphere of culture, noted its importance in the dynamic development of relations. Head of State stressed the importance of cultural events within the framework of Azerbaijanâ€™s presentation in France. The President said that the exhibition, which will be organized in Baku, will also contribute to strengthening ties.

Head of State expressed confidence that the visit of Minister of Culture and Communication of France FrÃ©dÃ©ric Mitterrand to Azerbaijan will serve to further extension of the cooperation between the two countries.

In turn, FrÃ©dÃ©ric Mitterrand praised the cultural activities of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and noted a large role of the events organized in France on her initiative in the popularization of Azerbaijan. FrÃ©dÃ©ric Mitterrand underlined that the exhibition â€œPearls of France. French art from Renaissance to the present dayâ€ will be organized in Baku on the initiative and under auspices of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and it is necessary to expand cultural cooperation between the two countries in several directions.
