Elkhan Suleymanov: There is no doubt the fact of occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia

According to APA, the sides exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the role of Europe in its resolution. Head of Delegation, Head of Working Group of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Relations with Belgium Elkhan Suleymanov said that this problem does not find its decision without the support of the international community, including Europe. "Europe could play an important role in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflictâ€, - said the MP.

Fazil Mustafa expressed the need for an objective approach on the part of Europe to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: "Europe is not equally suitable, for example, to the three conflicts - Transnistria, the conflict in Georgia and Nagorno-Karabakh. There is a difference with respect to these conflicts in Europe, where in all three cases there is occupation. It is essential that Europe has moved from a neutral approach to the objective".

President of the Parliament of Belgium Sabine de Bethune noted that Belgium is considering the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a regional problem and supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group. "Europe could also play a more important role in resolving it", - says S. Bethune.

The delegation of deputies of Milli Majlis also met with Speaker of the regional parliament in Brussels, which informed him of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as events in Khojaly. "There is no doubt the fact of aggression and occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia. Both international law in this matter is completely on the side of Azerbaijan", - said the head of delegation at the meeting Elkhan Suleymanov.
