Azerbaijani Foreign Minister chairs meeting of GUAM Foreign Ministerial Council

Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that â€œThe Chairmanship Program of the Republic of Azerbaijanâ€ on Azerbaijanâ€™s chairmanship in GUAM in 2012 was considered at the meeting and the National Coordination Council was tasked to develop the action plan for execution of the program in its next meeting.

GUAM Foreign Ministers reached an agreement on coordination of the â€œPlan on mutual activity of diplomatic representations of GUAM countries accredited in UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and other organizations based in Viennaâ€.

GUAM Foreign Ministerial Council welcomed the efforts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for intensifying relations with OSCE and initiative to organize GUAM Secretary Generalâ€™s visit to Vienna and his address to the OSCE Permanent Council. GUAM Foreign Ministerial Council also discussed the cooperation and coordination issues of GUAM member countries within the international organizations.

Foreign ministers thanked Azerbaijan for its initiative to hold Foreign Ministerial Council meeting.
