Director General of the Institute of International Affairs and Political Researches of the Iranian Foreign Ministry: â€œIran and Azerbaijan must search and find necessary ways for removal of obstaclesâ€

He said that Azerbaijan and Iran had common culture, history, religion and language: â€œUnfortunately, some forces prevent the development and extension of relations between two countries. I think that the research centers of the countries can have an effective role in the research of the ways of solution of the problems. As an Iranian political research center, we told our Azerbaijani friends about our readiness to assistance in every sphere. We hope that we will search and find the ways for extension of relations as a result of cooperation of intellectuals and political figures of both countriesâ€.

Doulatyar noted that there should be a serious will to find ways of the development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations.

He also commented on Iranian parliamentary elections: â€œSeveral problems occurred in Iran after the last presidential elections. The role of foreign forces is undeniable. The participation of people in todayâ€™s parliamentary elections is an indicator of trust of citizens to the current system. In general, there is a competition in election atmosphere in Iranâ€.
