Baku-APA. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan colonel-general Kamaladdin Heydarov received the Pakistani delegation led by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shamim Wyne, APA reports quoting the site of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.
Minister Heydarov informed the guests on the socio-economic progress in Azerbaijan achieved in recent years, as well as on the structure and activities of the Ministry.
In turn, thanking the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan for the warm welcome General Khalid Shamim Wyne noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between relevant government agencies of both countries.
He also thanked the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan for its assistance to people affected by floods in Pakistan due to heavy monsoon rains.
