The conference brought together women representatives of political parties and nongovernmental organizations to Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, women-deputies of the Turkish Parliament, prominent journalists, members of accredited in Ankara, various diplomatic missions.

Speaking at the conference Vusala Mahirgizi noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the countries of the region. "Most countries in West Asia are Muslim states. It is very important for these countries to work together in regional and international issues. But for this, above all, it is necessary that the relations between these countries have been sincere. It is not permissible that steps were taken against the interests of each other. Unfortunately, some states act in this way. Our neighboring states - Iran, provides comprehensive support to Armenia, which occupied 20% of Azerbaijani territory. Support for the aggressor does not become a civilized country, much less a country ruled by Islamic rules and laws. It is impermissible that Armenia keeps 20 % of Azerbaijani lands under the occupation for a long time. The liberation of Azerbaijani lands will lead to the rapid development of regional cooperation", - General Director of â€œAPA-Group said.

Vusala Mahirgizi gave detailed information to the conference participants about what happened in Khojaly genocide. She noted that the recognition of the participating countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference, followed by the parliaments of Mexico and Pakistan, the Khojaly genocide will become a factor of pressure on Armenia. She urged participants to be active to the parliaments of countries in West Asia to recognized the Khojaly massacre as an act of genocide.

Vusala Mahirgizi expressed her regret that international organizations do not fulfill the mission of liberating the occupied Azerbaijani territories. In particular, she noted four remaining unfulfilled UN resolutions, international organizations, manifested by a double standard with regard to Armenian aggression. She also urged participants to take part in a march-rally marking the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. This event will be held February 26 at the Taksim Square in Istanbul.

Note that the first forum in West Asia Womenâ€™s Association was held last year in the Syrian capital Damascus. The forum will be defined in Ankara range goals and objectives of association, which will start the process of organizing on a global level.
