Baku is today recognized not only for its rich oil heritage, but also as one of the leading centers of global energy dialogue, Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said during the first meeting of the Technical Committee of the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation (CoC) in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
"It is here that numerous initiatives promoting international cooperation are put forward, important strategic issues are discussed, and the key directions of the future global energy agenda are shaped," Shahbazov said.
According to the minister, energy is not only a pillar of economic development, but also a symbol of reliable partnership, mutual trust, and, of course, shared responsibility. Guided by these principles, Azerbaijan continues to make consistent contributions to strengthening global energy security, preserving market stability, and advancing international cooperation.
The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan's active and constructive participation within the OPEC+ cooperation framework is a clear demonstration of its commitment to these principles.
"As a participant in the Declaration of Cooperation, Azerbaijan has been actively and responsibly contributing to the stability of the global oil market for nearly a decade within the OPEC+ platform, with the aim of maintaining the balance between supply and demand," Parviz Shahbazov added.
