The ambassador confirmed the reports and said that according to the Turkish legislation, the tenure of ambassadors is three or four years. “I have been working in Azerbaijan for almost four years. It will take four or five months for the new ambassador to take office in Baku. I will continue my mission until his arrival and I will work in customary regimeâ€.
Turkish newspapers reported that deputy chief of Turkish Foreign Ministry’s Security and Intelligence Office Iksmayil Alper Coshkun was appointed the ambassador to Azerbaijan.
