Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. “Azerbaijan has large military budget,†Nikolay Bordyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), told APA’s Moscow correspondent.
He said Azerbaijan’s military industry is strengthening, army is being supplied with modern weapons.
“I understand that every country must have a well-armed army. But the main thing is that this military potential must not be used in the conflicts that may result in bloody incidents in the post-soviet area. I have seen all this, I know how these processes happen and I am afraid of it,†he said.
Nikolay Bordyuzha regrets that Azerbaijan does not cooperate with CSTO.
“I am aware of its reasons. But I would like Azerbaijan to cooperate with us in the area of security. We can find ways for cooperating with Azerbaijan,†he said.
