Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched missile strikes on US military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.
This was reported by the Fars and IRNA agencies.
According to the IRGC, the control center, spare parts and military equipment warehouses, as well as fuel tanks were hit at the US Navy's 5th Fleet base in Bahrain.
The statement also claimed that a US Armed Forces logistics and supply center located in the Mina Abdullah region of Kuwait was destroyed as a result of a missile strike.
The IRGC added that a second wave of attacks was carried out against the Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan. It was reported that the strikes targeted the bases where F-18 fighters are located and large military equipment hangars belonging to the US military.
The Revolutionary Guards also declared that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until the US "hostile actions" against Iran stopped.
The IRGC also stated that strikes on US military bases would continue "until a decisive victory."
