Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan: This year we will reach serious achievements towards the recognition of Khojaly genocide in the world, disclosure of culprits of this tragedy

As we all know, 20 years will pass this year from Khojaly tragedy. Azerbaijani President sanctioned the commemoration of 20th anniversary worthy of the memory of Khojaly martyrs and corresponding to the level of tragedyâ€, Head of Public Policy department of Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov told APA. Reminding the existence of order of Azerbaijani President on commemorating the Khojaly genocide, Hasanov said that the corresponding measures would be taken not only in the country, but abroad: â€œWe are planning to hold systematic events in all countries from Asia to Europe and America, where Azerbaijan is represented by its embassies and diaspora organizations, and to attract attention of public communities of those countries to this tragedy, these atrocitiesâ€.

The government of Azerbaijan takes serious measures towards recognition of Khojaly genocide in the parliaments and other legislative bodies of the countries where possible. This work is carried out systematically. This year we carry out work on the basis of single program towards increasing effectiveness of events held by our Diaspora organizations, as well as events held within â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ campaign led by Leyla Aliyeva, increasing the effectiveness of events realized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and other organizations. We think that both Azerbaijan and world community will see its results in the near future. This year we will reach serious achievements towards the recognition of Khojaly genocide in the world, disclosure of culprits of this tragedyâ€.
