Ali Hasanov comments on news about detainment of Iran TVâ€™s correspondent in Azerbaijan

In his interview to APA, Hasanov said that he was out of touch with the information in the press about the personality of arrested, the reason of his arrest: â€œBut there is no Iranian TV journalist or reporter with such name accredited in the Republic of Azerbaijan. I donâ€™t know the purpose of linking the arrested person with Iranian TVâ€.

He said that the name of Iranian TVâ€™s employee accredited in Azerbaijan was known: â€œThere are notes concerning him in the Foreign Ministry and the other corresponding organizations. But there is no reporter with the name which is mentioned as the Iranian TVâ€™s correspondent. The Interior Ministry probably had relevant statement about the reason of their detainment and their personalitiesâ€.

Newspapers said that Anar Bayramli, who was detained by the employees of Binagadi district 4th police station, was Iranian TVâ€™s correspondent in Baku. According to information, narcotic drug was seized from him.
