Their other problems have been solved by the state,” Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, said at the commemorative event on the 20th anniversary of the massacre committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis in Garadaghly village of Khojavend region, APA reports.

Ali Hasanov said the conflict had affected his life, too.
“My father’s grave is in the occupied region. My mother died as a refugee 7 years ago. A day before she died, she asked me to bury her near my father. I said it was impossible. Since then I have been feeling remorse,” he said.

Ali Hasanov addressed the international community regarding the refugees and internally displaced persons.
“The international community should know that one million people are suffering. Is it necessary to be a refugee in order to understand this? Is your native land must be occupied so that you realize it?” he said.
