Real Sociedad beat Sevilla

Real Sociedad defeated Sevilla 2-1 in a home match of the 10th round of the Spanish football championship, APA reports.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice for the winners (19th, 36th minute). Nemanja Gudelj scored for the losers (30th minute). Oyarzabal opened the scoring with a converted penalty.

Real Sociedad's Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan entered the field in the 69th minute. He played in his fourth match of the season. He has yet to contribute a single goal. Zakharyan missed the end of last season due to injury.

Real Sociedad won their first La Liga match since September 24, beating Mallorca 1-0 at home. They then lost 2-1 to Barcelona on the road, drew 1-1 with Celta Vigo, and lost 1-0 at home to Rayo Vallecano.

Sevilla is 9th in the Spanish league table with 13 points. Real Sociedad is 14th with 9 points. Sevilla will play Atlético Madrid away on November 1st, while Real Sociedad will host Athletic on the same day.
