“Neftchi” has transferred star footballer Vincent Aboubakar, Apasport.az reports.
The striker of the Cameroon national team is now a member of the “Neftchi” family.
A 1+1-year contract has been signed with the footballer who will wear the number 45 jersey.
Aboubakar, whose last club was “Hatayspor”, has also played in the leagues of France, Portugal, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia in addition to his homeland. He won the Portuguese championship (2018, 2020), cup (2020) and Super Cup (2018) with “Porto”, and the Turkish championship (2017, 2021), cup (2021, 2024) and Super Cup (2024) with “Beşiktaş”.
The striker, who is the captain of the Cameroon national team, has played 115 games for the national team and scored 45 goals. Abubakar lifted the Africa Cup of Nations with his national team in 2017, and in 2022, he became the top scorer of the African League of Nations with 8 goals.
