Azerbaijan reveals national team's squad for matches against Iceland and Ukraine

The squad of the Azerbaijani national team for the matches against Iceland and Ukraine within the framework of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup has been determined, Apasport.az reports.

The head coach of our national team, Fernando Santos, revealed the names of the players he invited to the team at a press conference held at the AFFA administrative building.

The Portuguese specialist invited the following players to the squad, which will start training camp on September 1:

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team will face the Iceland team on September 5 at 22:45 Baku time at the Laugardalsvöllur stadium within Group D, and on September 9 at 20:00 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, they will play against the Ukraine national team.
