The Azerbaijan national football team consisting of players under the age of 16 played its first match in the 3rd CIS Games held in our country, Apasport.az reports.
The U-16 team, placed in Group A, faced the corresponding age group team of Tajikistan.
Before the match, the cherished memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands was honored with a one-minute silence.
The match, held at the Gabala City Stadium, ended with a 1:0 victory for Azerbaijan national team. Nihat Huseynzada scored the goal of the match for our team in the 29th minute.
Note that our team will play its next group match against the Kyrgyzstan national team on October 1.
