Ramiz Mirzayev meets Michel Platini

AFFA president Ramiz Mirzayev has finished his visit to Nyon, Switzerland. Ramiz Mirzayev was in the headquarters of the UEFA within his visit, APA-Sport reports. He attended the meeting of the UEFA Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee where he holds the post of the vice president. UEFA president Michel Platini was also present in the first meeting of the Fair Play Committee. Michel Platini emphasized the importance of the Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee and its activities in the future. Setting the fight against racism, discrimination and violence in football as the goals of the Social Responsibility Committee Michel Platini hoped for the assist of fan societies. The Committee members adopted four decisions in the meeting: 1. allocating 0.7 percent of UEFA average incomes for the Committee 2.Nomination of ICRC as charity partner of the European Championship 2008. 3. Adoption of UEFA Football and Social Responsibility strategy. 4. Allocation of 1 million Swiss francs for the Hellenic Football Federation for the reconstruction of its football infrastructure which suffered during wildfires in Greece. These decisions will be approved in the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Istanbul in Turkey on September 26 and 27.
Ramiz Mirzayev in his interview for APA-Sport said the meeting passed in an interesting environment. AFFA president noted that he met UEFA president Michel Platini and held exchange of views on general issues.
