Valentin Khodukin: I wanted to take the similar step

Neftchi decision not to let its footballers to join the national team is related to the new head coach Vlastimil Petrjela, Inter club head coach Valentine Khodukin told APA-Sport. Valentine Khodukin supported his colleagueâ€™s step.
â€œIt is easy for Petrjela to take this step. He is a new face in Azerbaijan football. When I was new head coach I wanted to take the similar step. Now my good relations with AFFA do not let me to do it. So the national team benefited from my team. I think Petrjelaâ€™s step was right and I support his decisionâ€.
Valentine Khodukin said AFFA assumes indefinite responsibilities in this issue. â€œAccording to FIFA rules the footballer should arrive in his team 2 days before the friendly match and 4 days before the official match. AFFA should not send fax to clubs. The club officials know when they should send footballers to the national team. 5 Neftchi and 4 Inter footballers are summoned to the national team. Two footballers are at the Olympic teamâ€™s disposal already. /APA-Sport/
