Unal Karaman: We would be very glad, if we could contribute to the development of Azerbaijanâ€™s football

â€œWe first of all want to rank the first in the group stage and get license to the final of European championship. If we do not achieve it, we will try to be one of the best four teams winning the second stage. As we know it is very risky, we intend to be the leader of the group stage,â€ head coach of Turkish national football team U-21 Unal Karaman told APAâ€™s Turkey bureau. The head coach said that his team has chances of joining the final of European championship. He said that head coach of Turkish main team Fatih Terim and he set the goal to form teams of future.
â€œI have been working with national teams for 7 years and therefore know all the footballers. I know not only their talent, but closely acquainted with their lives as well. We trust in Turkish peopleâ€™s talent. It is very important for us to set up a team without making mistakes. There are 8-10 footballers in each Turkish team in super league who can play in Europe,â€ he said.
Touching upon the relations with Azerbaijan Turkish head coach mentioned that they played against our teams several times.
â€œAzerbaijan is not a strange country for us. We have perfect relations with Azerbaijan Football Federations Associations. We would be very glad, if we could contribute to the development of Azerbaijanâ€™s football,â€ he said. /APA-Sport/
