Today, all normative and legal condition has been created for local and foreign investors in Azerbaijan, chairman of Board of Directors of the Financial Markets Supervision Authority Rufat Aslanli said at the seventh Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum (AIIF -2016).
According to him, insurance premiums tripled, payments doubled during past 6-7 years: “Significant works have been carried out on protection of rights of insurance service consumers. However, the field people concern about is insurance”. Global economic processes affected Azerbaijan’s insurance market: “demand for insurance services, revenues and reserves of insurers declined. The Authority aims insurance industry to adapt to the new situation. Moreover, protection of consumers’ rights is one of our objectives. Along with this, we are working on extension of compulsory and voluntary insurance types”.
