Number and wages of hired workers in Azerbaijanâ€™s economy announced

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. As of August 1, 2016, number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made 1,521,100, of which 888,800 are in state sector, 632,300 in non-state sector.

According to State Statistical Committee, 22.1% hired workers worked in education, 18.7% in trade, repair of transport facilities, 12.9% in industry, 8.7% in medical and social service for population, 6.9% in construction, 4.6% in transport and storehouse, 3.6% in professional, scientific and technical activity, 3.1% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.8% in finance and insurance and 10.6% in other spheres.

Average monthly salary of the hired workers rose 6.6% to AZN 489.3.
