FMSA urged Zolotaya Korona to stop money transfers to Armenia
# 16 September 2016 15:00 (UTC +04:00)

The NBCI addressed to its clients that it has stopped money transfers via Zolotaya Korona to Armenia and vice-verse since September 7: ““Payment Centre” thanks you for cooperation”.

APA-Economics researched the reason of Zolotaya Korona’s this decision. It revealed that the Payment Centre transferred money to the occupied Nagorno Karabakh via Zolotaya Korona and other systems. Once the information about this is received, the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority sent a warning letter to the Payment Centre. As a result of pressure of the Authority, the Payment Centre has passed a decision to stop the money transfer to Armenia for recognition of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and prevention of operations which are contrary to the international law.

Chairman of Board of Directors of the Payment Centre G.M. Mats said in the letter sent to the Authority that he recognizes Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and money transfer to the occupied territories is unacceptable.

The Authority has confirmed the fact.
