In 2024, the volume of credit card transactions in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 8 billion 784 million, APA-Economics reports.
The volume of this indicator increased by 40.3% or AZN 2 billion 521 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
Noted that during the reporting period, AZN 4 billion 864 million of credit card transactions were carried out through e-commerce, AZN 2 billion 138 million through POS terminals, AZN 1 billion 440 million through ATMs, and AZN 332 million through transactions outside the country.
It should be noted that as of January 1, 2025, the number of credit cards in the country was 2 million 256 thousand.
