The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has earned 6.4 billion US dollars on its stock portfolio since its inception until September 30 of this year, SOFAZ told APA-Economics.
Noted that the Fund has so far invested 7.1 billion dollars in the "MSCI World" index, which is the main index it follows in its stock portfolio. The profitability of this portfolio was 253%. In total, the current value of the Fund's stock portfolio has increased to $13.5 billion.
It should be noted that the stock portfolio of SOFAZ Fund includes shares of 1410 companies in 11 sectors of 23 developed countries according to the "MSCI World" index. The total market capitalization of these company shares is close to 77 trillion US dollars.
