The revenue from the equity portfolio of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) amounted to $6.3 billion by the end of 2024, which is a 1.5% decrease compared to the third quarter of the previous year, SOFAZ said in response to APA's inquiry.
It was noted that the Fund has invested $7.1 billion in the "MSCI World" index, which it follows as the main benchmark for its equity portfolio. The return on this portfolio has reached 249%. In total, the current value of the Fund's equity portfolio stands at $13.4 billion, compared to $13.5 billion in the third quarter of the previous year.
Notably, SOFAZ's equity portfolio under the "MSCI World" index includes shares of 1,395 companies across 11 sectors in 23 developed countries. The total market capitalization of these companies is close to $77 trillion.
