Private sector's weight in GDP to reach by 88% in Azerbaijan

By 2026, the share of the private sector in GDP is targeted to reach 88%, said Huseyn Huseynov, Head of the Sustainable Development and Social Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy, during his speech at the “High-Level Strategic Prioritization” seminar of the Framework Document on Cooperation for Sustainable Development between the UN and Azerbaijan (2026-2030), APA-Economics reports.

He also mentioned that during this period, non-oil exports are expected to increase by 1.8 times, non-oil/gas GDP is expected to increase by 1.3 times, and GDP overall is expected to increase by 1.2 times.
