In January–February of this year, the value of products exported from Azerbaijan to Iran and Israel decreased, while imports increased. At the same time, both exports and imports with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) increased.
According to research conducted by APA-Economics based on a report by the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan’s exports to Iran amounted to 2 million 374 thousand US dollars in January–February this year, which is a decrease of 2.15% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the value of imported goods increased by 13.1%, reaching 115 million 272 thousand US dollars.
In the first two months of the current year, products worth $3 million 308 thousand were exported from Azerbaijan to Israel, which represents a 67.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Instead, imports from Israel to Azerbaijan increased 2.6 times, reaching $7 million 635 thousand.
An upward dynamic was observed in trade with the United Arab Emirates. During the reporting period, exports from Azerbaijan to the UAE amounted to $12 million 408 thousand, which is 22.9% higher compared to January–February of last year. Imports from the UAE increased 2.1 times, reaching $16 million 993 thousand.
