In the period of January-March 2025, the volume of direct foreign investments entering the Azerbaijani economy amounted to 1.5 billion US dollars, said Samir Nasirov, Head of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, in the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan’s investments in foreign country economies amounted to 315 million US dollars.
S. Nasirov stated that in the first quarter, the countries investing the most in the Azerbaijani economy were, United Kingdom – 405.8 million US dollars, Türkiye – 300.9 million US dollars, Cyprus – 181 million US dollars, the United Arab Emirates – 110.3 million US dollars, and Iran – 90.1 million US dollars.
In return, in the first three months of 2025, Azerbaijan invested in the economies of the following countries: Türkiye – $ 92.6 million, Georgia – $ 30.4 million, the United Kingdom – $ 27.8 million, Spain – $ 20.9 million, and Russia – $ 18.4 million.
