The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has identified the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence as one of its priority areas in order to improve forecasting capabilities, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov said in an interview with Global Finance magazine, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, this area is among the main priorities for modernizing the monetary policy framework.
Kazimov noted that the Central Bank also intends to strengthen the transmission of interest rates to market rates and expand the range of financial instruments referencing AZIR.
The CBA chairman said these measures will contribute to deepening the capital and money markets and increasing the effectiveness of monetary policy.
