As of January 1, 2025, Azerbaijan's domestic public debt increased by 17.6% to 18 billion 659.7 million manat, APA-Economics reports citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Finance.
Note that as of January 1 of this year, the level of external public debt decreased by 20.1% compared to the previous year and amounted to 5 billion 160 million US dollars or 6.9 percent of GDP for 2024.
In total, Azerbaijan's public debt amounted to 27 billion 431.1 manat, which is 2.2% or 580.7 million manat more than the previous year.
