Annual inflation in Türkiye has decreased again, APA-Economics reports citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI).
According to the report, annual inflation in January of this year was 42.12%. In December of last year, this figure was 44.38%. In January, consumer prices increased by 5.03% compared to the previous month.
It should be noted that the main group that showed the least increase compared to January of the previous year was transportation prices with 23.14%, while the main group which the highest increase was recorded was education prices with 99.93%.
It should be noted that inflation in Türkiye reached its highest level in the last 24 years - 85.5% in October 2022, while the highest level of this indicator in the current year - 75.45% was recorded in May.
