IMF: Azerbaijan will see inflation at 20% in 2009

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Inflation is predicted to reach 22.4% in 2008 and slowing to 20% in 2009, said the October 2008 IMF Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia.
Annual inflation rose to 21.5% in the country during January-September, exceeding the government’s prediction that was rose to 18-29% from originally forecasted level of 13-14%.
Besides, IMF expects broad money to grow in the country to 84% in 2008 and 40% in 2009.
