Bank SilkWay gets 29% decline in profit

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Bank SilkWayâ€™s profit during January-June, 2012 made AZN 2.034 mln, down 298% from year earlier.

Bank says total income rose 33% to AZN 6.186 mln, as well interest income soared 35% to AZN 3.367 mln, non-interest income surged 31% to AZN 2.819 mln. Total expenditures increased by 31% to AZN 3.519 mln, as weel interest expenditures â€“ by 2.5 times to AZN 1.342 mln, non-interest expenditure â€“ by 1% to AZN 2.177 mln.

Remind that, Bank SilkWay has been in operation since 1993. The bank operates 6 branches, 20 ATMs and 114 POS-terminals across the country.
