The Cinema Agency has issued a public appeal regarding the film "44", APA reports.
The appeal states that filming the movie with mobile phones or other devices during screenings, as well as recording and distributing footage without permission, is unacceptable.
"Such actions are disrespectful to the film's producer, creative team, and other viewers who come to watch the film. According to Parts 1 and 2 of Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On Copyright and Related Rights', reproduction of a work falls within the exclusive rights of the copyright holder. The law also includes making video recordings in the definition of reproduction. Therefore, unauthorized recording of the film, and particularly the sharing of such footage, may constitute a violation of copyright and legal requirements.
We strictly demand that viewers refrain from recording the film with mobile phones or other devices during screenings and from distributing footage from the film without the permission of the rights holder.
Violation of these requirements may result in liability under Article 185 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan and, where the conditions established by law are met, under Articles 165.1 and 165.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
If violations of the law are detected, appropriate measures provided for by legislation will be taken against those responsible," the appeal stated.
