"The disruptions caused by the US and Israeli war against Iran in the global energy market have not yet reached their peak. This raises concerns about further disruptions to supplies, international trade, and economic growth," Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, stated while speaking at the Global Security Forum in Doha, Al Jazeera reports.
"When it comes to energy, we have not yet reached the peak," he said, warning that further consequences could emerge in the coming days and months.
His remarks came amid continued instability in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments, following US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28 and Tehran's retaliatory strikes across the region.
