“Today, the main task of Georgia and Azerbaijan should be to turn the region into a more capable geopolitical player,” Viktor Kipiani, head of Georgia's GeoCase analytical center, said in an interview with APA's local bureau.
According to him, there could be very good cooperation between Tbilisi and Baku in this direction.
The political analyst noted that the rich and deep relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are very intensive, and transport-logistics and energy projects form their solid foundation.
Viktor Kipiani also stated that the full commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line is of great importance for the development of the Middle Corridor.
“Georgia plays a decisive role in the implementation of transport and logistics projects carried out in the region. Georgia should raise its level of preparedness for these projects and should not lose its ties with the Western world,” the expert added.
