Work is continuing to establish telecommunications infrastructure in Azerbaijan's Aghdara district, APA's local bureau reports.
The work is being carried out by Aztelekom LLC, one of the companies of AZCON Holding, under the "First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan," approved by a relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev.
Alida Mustafayeva, spokesperson for Aztelekom LLC, told journalists in Hasanriz village of Aghdara district that 1,768 communication poles have been installed, 334 kilometers of various types of fiber-optic cables have been laid, and nine OLT (Optical Line Terminal) stations have been installed and put into operation in areas covering the district center, Sugovushan settlement and eight villages.
According to her, 868 households and 68 businesses currently benefit from telecommunications services in these areas.
Residents of Hasanriz village also expressed satisfaction with the conditions created, including high-speed internet services.
Village resident Sitara Ilyasova said that they can easily communicate with relatives living far away via the internet.
Another resident, Gulshan Shamilova, said that she communicates with her child living abroad every day via the internet and expressed gratitude to the state for the conditions created in her native land.
It should be noted that the construction of 25 main communication lines planned for the 2026 phase in the Karabakh region has been completed. The fiber-optic backbone network, with a total length of more than 1,000 kilometers, ensures the stability and security of telecommunications infrastructure in the region.
Overall, telecommunications infrastructure has been established in 11 cities and 54 villages and settlements in the liberated territories. A total of 12,267 new subscribers, including 11,596 households and 671 businesses, have been connected to the network in these areas.
Through GPON technology, subscribers are offered high-speed internet services, as well as packages combining internet and telephony, internet and television, or all three services.
Citizens wishing to connect to these services can contact Aztelekom's 170 Call Center, its Aghdara branch, or the company's official website.
