A trilateral meeting between the leaders of the United States, Russia, and China would encourage the continuation of the war, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote on his X account, APA reports.
He stated that a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine, the US, and Russia could help end the war sooner, but a meeting between the leaders of Russia, China, and the US would serve the exact opposite purpose.
Sybiha noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no place at the table with US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping: "The only thing that could earn him that seat is a serious step toward peace, such as accepting a ceasefire proposal before any such meeting. Instead, we are seeing the opposite: intensified terror against civilians. As long as he continues this terror, there should be no place for him at any table," Sybiha emphasized.
It should be noted that The Wall Street Journal reported that Putin had proposed a trilateral meeting format with the leaders of the US and China to resolve the war in Ukraine.
