The establishment of a joint group consisting of political experts from Azerbaijan and Georgia has been proposed, APA's local bureau reports.

Georgian political analyst and professor Badri Nachkebia put forward the initiative while speaking at a roundtable discussion titled "Georgia-Azerbaijan: Strategic Partnership and a Shared Future" held in Tbilisi.

He stated that establishing such a joint group would be highly beneficial for both Georgia and Azerbaijan.

"Certain provocations are being carried out with the aim of damaging Georgia-Azerbaijan relations. The group of experts could identify the sources of such provocations and prevent them in a timely manner," the political analyst added.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, supported the proposal. According to him, it is very important to respond promptly to negative challenges and prevent them in a timely manner.

The diplomat noted that detailed discussions would be held on the proposal and appropriate steps would be taken.
