Azerbaijan-based banks see 7% growth in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. As of January 1, 2012, Azerbaijan-based banksâ€™ assets stood at AZN 14 259.18 mln. At the same time, assets rose AZN 594.45 mln or 4.4% in December.

The loan given to customers made AZN 9,006.4 mln (share 63.2%), correspondent accounts was AZN 1,336.4 mln (9.4%), investments â€“ AZN 1.440.8 mln (10.1%), cash â€“ AZN 695.2 mln (4.9%), loan and deposits given to financial sector â€“ AZN 567.7 mln (4.0%), other assets â€“ AZN 1,212.8 mln (8.5%).

83% of commercial banksâ€™ passives were liabilities. The liabilities made AZN 11,831.71 mln. Of this, AZN 6,673.4 mln was deposit, AZN 4,352.0 mln loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 806.3 mln â€“ other liabilities.

Total capital made AZN 2,427.5 mln
